[Registration closed] Much disaster relief and recovery work is needed since the Noto Peninsula 7.6 magnitude earthquake on January 1. There have been more aftershocks since then.
Join us to offer practical support to communities in need, through manual labour and other serving opportunities. You may get to run programmes for those living in temporary housing too. If you are available for an extended duration, you are welcome to join multiple teams - write in to let us know. Families are welcomed to serve together!
Estimated cost: $500-$600 (not inclusive of airfare)
Requirements
Good to have, but not compulsory:
- International Driving Permit (IDP)
- Basic conversational Japanese
Must have:
- Willing to stay in basic accommodation and use Japanese public bath for showers if needed (note: final decision of type of accommodation will be made as a team)

*Dates, location, cost and nature of trip may be subjected to change. In the event that the trip of your choice becomes unavailable, you will be invited to join another project. There is a separate non-refundable $50 (GST inclusive) charge that covers registration fee and other incidentals. Participants are required to attend pre-trip meetings (which will be arranged by the team leader about 1.5 months before the trip).
*The $50 registration fee is waived for participants going on another trip within the same calendar year.
